Ilse Jacobsen boots are handcrafted using all natural materials. Their rubber comes from rubber tree sap. The process to extract the sap does not damage or harm the trees in any way nor the environment surrounding them. Natural rubber also allows for more texture and patterning in the boots making each pair slightly unique in its finish. All boots are lined with quality cotton fleece for comfort and warmth. The construction of the soles is perhaps most important as this is where the weight of our bodies rest. They use a special heat treated process in order to trap air bubble in the rubber. This allows for more cushioning and better insulation. Ilse Jacobsen boots can be worn with comfort all day long.
